The Huxton collection is one of our favorite Case Logic lines, with a focus on modern detailing, functional design, and straightforward appeal. We decided to shoot these bags in a wonderful local coffee shop in Littleton, Colorado, with a clean, modern, and comfortable space. The shop’s oversized windows frame each shot among the seamless Mid-century Modern architecture.
KnitScene is a fashion and instructional publication by Interweave, one of the nation's largest art and craft media entities. We partnered with them on their spring 2016 issue, shooting both lifestyle fashion images as well as detail focused product shots. The project was a balance of artistic expression and information driven images which help communicate process and steps to recreate these projects through the patterns provided in the issue. A theme of balance can also describe the days on set which are fast paced yet relaxed with a team of talented and fun individuals.
Traveling deep into the wilderness of Oregon’s Mt. Hood, we found the perfect location to showcase the versatility and functionalty of the Thule T2 bicycle rack. This shoot was a unique mix of high energy action shots and candid captures showcasing the utility of this product. The pouring rain throughout the shoot added layers of texture and roughness to these images.
We were thrilled to partner with Case Logic to launch their new line of bags and laptop accessories. Case Logic’s artist team envisioned urban European landscapes and international vibes for these new brand-focused lifestyle images. We took on a week of exploring Brussels, Ghent, Antwerp, and Bruges, working closely with the client’s artistic director, local models, and some of the most picturesque backdrops we could have hoped for.
We have been working with OtterBox on a range of product and lifestyle photography for the past several years. This Colorado based company is perhaps best known for keeping our smartphones safe. The MySymmetry line elevates utilitarian design to focus on individual personality with the ability to customize your very own design. For this shoot, we wanted a location that evoked a bright and lively feeling. The River North Art District was a great spot full of textures, vibrant colors, and a young, hip vibe. This space was the perfect launch pad for images to highlight this new product focused on aesthetics and individuality.
Susan Hazel Rich is the owner and creator behind Hazelmade, and she is truly a pleasure to work with. Based in the Cleveland area, Susan releases an annual collection of illustrated stationery and home goods. We have an incredible spirit of collaboration, which allows for true creative exploration. Susan focuses on her products being a complete experience; from opening a package in the mail, to using one of her beautiful tea towels at a family dinner, it is important to her that you feel something when you interact with her products and company. When we work together we like to tie this idea into the photos. The space, light and atmosphere are important to keeping us always inspired to try new things and remain in an inspirational place for ideas to flow.
A model signed with Wilhelmina Denver, Bret has worked with us on a number of commercial photo shoots and client projects through the years. We’ve recently started shooting just for fun. We are always excited to see what happens without the parameters of specific projects and end results in mind. Together, we’ve explored Colorado, always looking for interesting light and places that draw is in. We can let our creativity run wild. It is refreshing to work with professionals open to exploring new ideas and techniques, who aren’t afraid to just wander.
To showcase the versatility and youth appeal of Case Logic products, we headed to Portland, Oregon in search of clouds, rain, brick streets, and beautiful campuses for this “Back to School” inspired campaign. Portland has unreal landscapes and the most beautiful college campuses we've ever seen. We managed all the props and styling for this shoot with a focus on pops of color coupled with the old world feel of the architecture. The images layer a bright and fresh approach with the timelessness of a traditional campus setting.
“Bike to Work” events are a chance to both celebrate and raise awareness of safety and environmental impacts of cycling. These events can be found nationwide but some might argue they find their roots out west in communities like Denver or Fort Collins.
Thule, a national brand of bike accessories, gear, and outerwear, wanted to tap into the “Bike to Work” mantra and celebrate these dedicated commuters. This campaign featured their water resistant Pack n’ Pedal commuter backpack made especially for these tough travels to the office. Of course, we were hoping for a rainy day, but it didn’t deliver. We made the best of it with plenty of spigot supplied weather to showcase the unique features of this bag.
Lisa is a Real Estate Agent and Broker located in Northern Colorado. Her personality and genuine excitement for what she does have made her a success right out of the gate. We wanted her energy and warmth to come across in the photos and show off the local terrain.
Mike is a jack-of-all-trades, working in the health tech field and sharing his passion for community through his work and public speaking events. When we decided to collaborate on his headshots it only made sense to take the city he is passionate about as a backdrop. Spending time in and around his workspace in the RiNo District of Denver allowed us to capture some great images with an authentic feeling for the city he strives to make a better place for everyone to live and work in.
Susan Hazel Rich is the owner and creator behind Hazelmade, and she is truly a pleasure to work with. In addition to the product photography for her illustrated line of stationery & home goods, we also worked together on her professional portraits. A little shy about being in front of the camera, we spent the afternoon together drinking coffee and exploring some favorites spots in Denver to create a relaxed, fun space to capture all that's wonderful about this talented, driven business woman.
Thule’s Subterra collection is designed to hold up to the many hazards of travel and is tough enough to stand the test of even the most frequent traveler. Denver International Airport served as an ideal backdrop for these images. In addition to the sleek design of the airport, we were also able to arrange access to the brand new, beautifully modern hotel space. We framed each shot within the excited energy of the airport terminal and striking architecture of the hotel’s space.
Part of vision at GoodFolk is to make time outside of our client projects for personal artistic exploration. Having known Raquel for some time, we often get together to explore parts of our favorite cities together. This girl is stylish and brings such an edge to photos that elevates them to a new level. Although she doesn’t model professionally, we have a feeling that won’t last long with her natural spark.
A professional photographer turned fiber artist, Sarah came out of nowhere and took the textile world by storm. Her understanding of texture, color, and style is pure magic, clearly illustrated by her wall hangings and wearable art. We’ve captured portraits of her in her Northern Colorado home, simple yet elegant product photography, and more recently a fashion shoot on the edge of the Colorado/Wyoming border. All of our photoshoots have been all about beautiful light and simple backdrops but the recent location provided sculptural rock formations to showcase her latest line of necklaces.
This locally-owned academic coaching company is located in Fort Collins, Colorado. Maria, Leading Learners’ owner, is beautifully passionate, helping kids succeed in both their studies and their lives. She is a firm believer that there are many styles of learning and focuses on the importance of discovering which style works best for each individual. We really love Leading Learners’ passion for helping kids gain the confidence to help them thrive. Hardworking students themselves, the coaches are clearly happy to be there, evidenced during our fun and relaxed shoots. With these images we loved pairing beautiful light and a grey background for a clean, fresh look focusing on the coaches’ unique personalities.
